2024/25 Premier League Fixtures Announced: Man City to Kick Off Title Defence at Chelsea

The eagerly anticipated 2024/25 Premier League fixtures have been released, setting the stage for another thrilling season of English football. Manchester City, the reigning champions, will commence their title defence with a challenging away match against Chelsea on August 18. This match will see City manager Pep Guardiola go head-to-head with his former assistant, Enzo Maresca, who recently took the helm at Chelsea after leading Leicester City to promotion.

Manchester United, fresh from their FA Cup triumph, will host the opening game of the season against Fulham at Old Trafford on August 16. Newly promoted Ipswich Town, returning to the Premier League after a 22-year absence, will face Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, at home on August 17.

Leicester City, back in the top flight after a season in the Championship and currently in search of Maresca’s replacement, will play Tottenham Hotspur on August 19. Elsewhere, Brighton’s new manager Fabian Hurzeler will start his tenure away to Everton, and Julen Lopetegui’s West Ham will take on Aston Villa.

Arsenal, who finished as runners-up to Manchester City last season, will begin their campaign at home against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
