Kano APC Suspends National Chairman Ganduje Amid Corruption Allegations

Ganduje’s impending arraignment on April 17, 2024, is linked to allegations including bribery, diversion, and misappropriation of funds, involving substantial sums of money. The Kano State Attorney General, Haruna Dederi, confirmed that Ganduje, alongside his wife and six others, will face charges related to the acceptance of bribes.

The accused individuals, comprising Ganduje, his wife, and several entities, are set to appear before Justice Usman Na’aba of State High Court number four. The Kano State Government, emphasizing the importance of accountability, expressed readiness to present 15 witnesses in the case.
Dederi emphasized the inevitability of facing consequences for wrongdoing, stating, “You cannot run away from the evil day.” He underscored the jurisdictional authority of the state in prosecuting such offenses, dismissing Ganduje’s objections.
