Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the matter, with the assurance that justice will prevail. The state police, represented by Public Relations Officer Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed their commitment to unraveling the cause of Ayandare’s death.

This unfortunate incident recalls a similar tragedy earlier this year when Olona Oluwapelumi, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Technology Akure, took his own life at his residence in Akure. Oluwapelumi, known as ‘Black’ among peers, was a student in the Department of Industrial Design.

The circumstances surrounding both deaths underscore the importance of mental health awareness and support within academic communities. As investigations continue, the university community mourns the loss of Ayandare and Oluwapelumi, emphasizing the need for vigilance and support for students facing mental health challenges.
