The abductors are demanding a staggering N900 million ransom for her release.
The abduction occurred early Friday morning, sending shockwaves through the local community. A close family source revealed that the kidnappers initially demanded N1 billion but later reduced the ransom to N900 million after brief negotiations. The source mentioned, “They contacted the family using a phone they took from another woman during the abduction. Initially, they asked for N1 billion but lowered it to N900 million after a short discussion. They expressed a preference to negotiate directly with Rarara, but he was unwell following the traumatic incident.”
Hajiya Hauwa’u Adamu’s abduction appears to have been meticulously planned. The source described the operation, saying, “The bandits arrived with a photograph of Hajiya to ensure they targeted the right individual. They entered her bedroom, woke up all the women sleeping there, and compared their faces with the photograph. Once they identified her, they demanded money. She showed them the cash in her bedside drawer, but it was not enough. They then decided to take her with them, and she complied without resistance.”
