The 2025 Ahmadu Bello Foundation Scholarship is now open for applications, providing support for 200 undergraduates and Higher National Diploma (HND) students in accredited public universities and polytechnics.

Scholarship Overview
The Ahmadu Bello Foundation Scholarship is an annual initiative aimed at empowering students from the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The scholarship award ranges from N100,000 to N500,000 per student for one academic session, with renewal contingent on academic performance.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Ahmadu Bello Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be admitted into science and technology programs in a public university or polytechnic.
- Have a full-time admission offer for a degree or HND program.
- Meet the minimum registration requirements for their institution and department.
- Possess five (5) O’level credits, including English and Mathematics, in no more than two sittings.
- Be an indigene of Northern Nigeria (proof of state of origin required).
- Be 25 years old or younger at the time of admission.
Scholarship Benefits
- Each selected student will receive N100,000 per academic session.
- The scholarship is renewable annually, provided the student maintains a minimum CGPA of Second Class Lower (2.2) for university students and Upper Credit for polytechnic students.
Required Documents
Shortlisted candidates will need to present the following documents during the screening process:
- Three (3) passport-sized photographs (2 inches x 2 inches).
- Certificate of State of Origin/Indigenization.
- Birth Certificate from the National Population Commission (NPC).
- JAMB Examination Result.
- Original Admission Letter from JAMB and the institution.
- Evidence of Fee Payment and Faculty/Departmental Registration.
- Valid Student ID Card.
- WAEC/NECO SSCE Result(s)/Certificates.
- Semester Result(s).
- Personal Contact Details (including email address).
- Reference Letter from a recognized community leader.
- Completed Parent/Guardian Attestation Letter.
- Active Phone Number.
- Next of Kin Contact Details (including email address).

Important Notes
- Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee a scholarship award, as selection is based on ranking in the screening exercise.
