Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is rallying Nigerians to stand behind the national team with unwavering belief as they set their sights on securing a fourth Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title at the upcoming 34th edition in Ivory Coast. Despite a recent setback in a pre-AFCON friendly against Guinea, where the Eagles faced a 2-0 defeat, Musa remains steadfast in his confidence about the team’s capabilities.
The three-time champions find themselves in Group A alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau. Musa’s call for belief in the team comes on the heels of a less-than-ideal performance in their final friendly in Abu Dhabi, marking the conclusion of a one-week training camp in the Middle East before their departure to Ivory Coast.
