In a significant move to strengthen healthcare ties with Nigeria, American Hospital Dubai has announced the upcoming opening of its second Nigerian office in Abuja, slated for December 2024. This expansion follows the successful launch of the hospital’s first Nigerian representative office in Lagos on August 19, 2024. The Lagos office, inaugurated by the UAE Consulate General in Nigeria, Dr. Abdullah Al-Mandoos, alongside Lagos State’s Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has already begun facilitating access to advanced medical care in Dubai.
According to Prince Tonye Princewill, Board Member of American Hospital Dubai Nigeria Limited, the Abuja office will play a pivotal role in making top-tier healthcare more accessible to Nigerians. “We are expanding to Abuja to provide greater access to our services. Just like the Lagos office, this new facility will serve as a healthcare ‘embassy,’ easing the process for patients seeking treatment at American Hospital Dubai,” Princewill stated.
The Abuja office will assist Nigerian patients with essential services such as visa processing, flight arrangements, and accommodation support. This will streamline the process for those seeking world-class medical treatment in Dubai. The hospital’s popularity among Nigerians has driven the decision to establish multiple representative offices to meet growing demand.
Princewill also hinted at further expansion plans, with a state-of-the-art diagnostic center planned as part of the hospital’s long-term commitment to investing in Nigeria’s healthcare sector. The hospital’s broader goal is to enhance healthcare access and create a seamless link between Nigerian patients and top-tier medical care in Dubai.
This new Abuja office is set to open doors for patients in northern Nigeria, making American Hospital Dubai’s cutting-edge medical expertise and facilities even more accessible. The hospital’s strategic expansion signals its dedication to supporting Nigerians with high-quality healthcare solutions.
As American Hospital Dubai continues its growth, it remains a key player in bridging the gap between international healthcare and Nigeria, ensuring patients receive the medical attention they need with minimal hurdles.
