Another Kebbi Pilgrim Dies in Makkah, Saudi Arabia

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Board has reported the passing of another pilgrim in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This announcement was made public on Sunday by the Kebbi Hajj 2024 Media Team.

According to a statement from the board’s Executive Chairman, Alhaji Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, the deceased, Abubakar Abdullahi from Gulma in Argungu Local Government Area, succumbed to a brief illness. Governor Nasir Idris expressed his condolences, praying for Allah’s forgiveness for Abdullahi and for his admittance into Jannatul Firdaus. The governor also extended his sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased, urging them to accept God’s will with fortitude.

Abdullahi was laid to rest according to Islamic rites following his funeral prayer at Masjid Al-Ihram (Ka’aba) on Friday.

Previously, the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board announced on May 27, 2024, the death of Tawalkatu Busare Alako from Jega Local Government Area, who also passed away after a short illness. Similarly, on May 28, 2024, a Lagos pilgrim named Oloshogbo Idris died in Makkah shortly after returning from the circumambulation of the Holy Kaaba.
