Successful candidates will be posted to one of the following Armed Forces Reference Hospitals:
Nigerian Army:
- 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna
- 68 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Yaba
- Military Hospital, Lagos
- Nigerian Army Command and NAOWA Hospital, Abuja
- Defence Reference Laboratory, Abuja
Nigerian Navy:
- Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Ojo, Lagos
- Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital, Calabar
Nigerian Air Force:
- 063 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Abuja
- 461 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Kaduna
- 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Ikeja
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements based on their specialty:
- Medical House Officer: MBBS or equivalent and provisional registration from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Dental House Officer: Bachelor of Dental Surgery and provisional registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
- Pharmacy Intern: BPharm and provisional registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist: BMLS and provisional license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria.
- Physiotherapy/Medical Rehabilitation: Bachelor of Physiotherapy and provisional license from the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board.
- Optometry Intern: Doctor of Optometry and provisional license from the Optometrists Registration Board of Nigeria.
- Radiography Intern: BSc in Radiography and provisional license from the Radiographers Registration Board.
- Nursing Intern: Bachelor of Nursing Science and provisional registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
- Dental Therapy Intern: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Dental Therapy and provisional license from the Dental Therapists Registration Board.
- Dental Technologist Intern: Bachelor’s degree or HND in Dental Technology and provisional license from the Dental Technologists Registration Board.
How to Apply
To apply, visit the Ministry of Defence application portal at defence.gov.ng and complete the online form. Follow these steps:
- Fill Out the Application Form: Indicate your preferred hospital location.
- Upload Your Credentials: Attach digital copies of all relevant certificates and provisional licenses.
- Review and Submit: Check for errors as corrections can’t be made after submission.
- Print Application Summary: Bring this summary and your original documents to the screening.
- Monitor Your Status: Check your email and phone for updates on screening and interview dates.
Important Information
- Application Deadline: 6th December 2024.
- Internship Terms: Candidates will work under supervision for one year, with salaries based on Federal Government pay scales.
