The Science@Leuven Scholarship is now accepting applications for 2025, offering exceptional international students the chance to pursue a Master’s degree in science at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven), Belgium. This prestigious scholarship provides financial assistance of up to €12,000 for one academic year, covering tuition fees, health insurance, and a portion of living expenses.

This opportunity is available for a select group of Master’s programs, including Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biophysics and Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology (specific specializations), Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Data Science, and Sustainable Development. Applications for programs outside this list will not be considered.

To be eligible, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a non-Belgian university, demonstrate academic excellence, and meet strict English language requirements, with minimum TOEFL scores of 94 or IELTS scores of 7.0. Two recommendation letters from internationally recognized professors and a compelling motivation letter are also required.

Applicants must first apply for their chosen Master’s program through the KU Leuven application portal. After completing this step, they can register separately for the Science@Leuven Scholarship and upload proof of their program application to confirm their eligibility. The deadline for both applications is February 15, 2025.

Students admitted to two-year Master’s programs can renew the scholarship for their second year by achieving outstanding academic results in their first year.
