Nigerian students can now apply for scholarships in Mauritius until April 19, 2024
The Federal Government has unveiled a golden opportunity for Nigerian students, announcing the opening of scholarship applications for studies in Mauritius. The initiative, revealed by the Federal Ministry of Education and managed by the Federal Scholarship Board, invites both undergraduate and postgraduate students to apply for the academic year 2024.
According to the statement, eligible candidates must have applied for at least one full-time on-campus program at a public Higher Education Institution (HEI) of their choice. The application process involves obtaining an electronic form from the official Mauritius Ministry of Education Science and Technology websites: ministry-education.govmu.org or highereducationmauritius.com.
Applicants are required to fill the form electronically, print, and sign it. To bolster their application, candidates should secure a conditional offer (letter of admission) from their chosen Mauritian public HEI. Additionally, an acknowledgment notice from the Mauritian HEI, confirming the application and payment of relevant fees, must be submitted.
The submission deadline for fully completed applications, along with the necessary documents, is April 19, 2024. To be eligible, undergraduate applicants should be above 18 years and not have reached their 26th birthday by January 1, 2025. Postgraduate candidates should not exceed their 40th birthday by the same date. Health certificates from recognized Government Hospitals are mandatory, and a good WAEC result for undergraduate, Masters, and PhD programs requires a minimum of second class upper (2.1).
For those eager to seize this opportunity, the application form is available on the official websites: ministry-education.govmu.org and highereducationmauritius.com. Don’t miss the chance to further your education in Mauritius; apply now before the April 19, 2024 deadline. For more details, refer to the official announcement.
