
The Federal Government, in partnership with the Kebbi State Government, has launched a new youth empowerment initiative under the Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Program (YEIDEP). The program is designed to support Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35 with financial assistance to start or grow their businesses.
Speaking at a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi on Friday, the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, said each selected applicant will receive between ₦300,000 and ₦500,000 to boost their entrepreneurial ventures.
To make registration easy and free for all interested persons, the Kebbi State Government has set up nine free online registration centres across all 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
The centers are located at:
- Birnin Kebbi: Birnin Kebbi Local Government Secretariat
- Kalgo and Bunza: Kalgo Local Government Secretariat
- Argungu and Augie: Argungu Local Government Secretariat
- Arewa and Dandi: Dandi Local Government Secretariat
- Yauri, Shanga, and Ngaski: Yauri Local Government Secretariat
- Koko, Besse, and Maiyama: Maiyama Local Government Secretariat
- Zuru, Fakai, and Sakaba: Zuru Local Government Secretariat
- Aliero, Gwandu, and Jega: Aliero Local Government Secretariat
- Bagudo and Suru: Dakingari Local Government Secretariat
The Commissioner encouraged all qualified Kebbi State indigenes to take advantage of this opportunity. According to him, registration will begin on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 9:00 AM.
How to Apply for YEIDEP in Kebbi State:
- Visit the nearest free online registration centre in your local government area.
- Ensure you are between the ages of 18 and 35.
- Come along with a valid form of identification (e.g., National ID, Voter’s Card, or any official ID).
- Follow instructions provided by the officials at the centre to complete your application online.
- Submit all required information and documents as directed.
The program aims to support innovation and entrepreneurship among young Nigerians and help reduce unemployment across the country.
