The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Steel Development, is offering a one-month boot-camp training for artisans in the metals industry. Training Categories:

The boot-camp covers three specialized areas, each with specific eligibility criteria:

1. Welding and Fabrication
   This category focuses on teaching practical welding techniques and metal fabrication skills to artisans.

• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must be a Nigerian citizen with valid identification.
  • Aged between 18 and 40 years.
  • May or may not have basic welding knowledge.
  • Must possess at least a secondary school O’ Level certificate.
  • Must understand and communicate in English.
  • Must submit a statement of purpose explaining why you should be selected.

1. Industrial Foundry and Metallurgy
   This category will cover metal casting techniques and metallurgy to help artisans excel in foundry work.

• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must be a Nigerian citizen with valid identification.
  • Aged between 18 and 40 years.
  • May or may not have prior knowledge of foundry techniques.
  • Must understand and communicate in English.
  • Must submit a statement of purpose.

1. Instrumentation & Control Systems and Mechanical Maintenance
   This advanced category is designed for graduates of Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering, focusing on industrial control systems and machinery maintenance.

• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Must be a Nigerian citizen with valid identification.
  • Aged between 18 and 40 years.
  • Must have a degree in Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Must understand and communicate in English.
  • Must submit a statement of purpose.

Training Duration:

The boot-camp will run for 1 month, providing intensive hands-on training in each category. This is a great opportunity for participants to gain valuable expertise in a short period.
