Welcoming the delegation in Abuja, INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to supporting Benin’s electoral efforts. He emphasized the importance of cross-border collaboration in strengthening democratic practices.
“Last month, we received a request from CENA to undertake this study visit as they prepare for what they describe as their most complex election cycle in history. For the first time, CENA will be conducting three elections within three months. This delegation, comprising National Commissioners, Directors, and key staff, seeks to understudy our processes and procedures to help them prepare effectively,” Yakubu explained.
