The National Examinations Council (NECO) has unveiled the outcomes of the 2023 November/December Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), revealing a commendable 67.35% of candidates securing five credits and above in both English Language and Mathematics.
The announcement, made by NECO’s Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, transpired at the NECO headquarters in Minna, Niger State, on Monday. Notably, the results were disclosed a mere 67 days after the conclusion of the examination, held from November 20 to December 20, 2023.

In terms of gender distribution, out of the 74,950 candidates who registered, 52.31% were males, and 47.68% were females. The actual number of candidates who sat for the examinations stood at 74,342, comprising 52.28% males and 47.71% females.
Furthermore, NECO introduced the e-Posting Software, addressing logistical challenges related to staff postings for out-of-station assignments. This initiative seeks to streamline and enhance the efficiency of the Council’s administrative processes.
