This abduction follows a similar incident in the same village where a school principal, Idris Sufyan, was killed, and his wife kidnapped over a month ago. The insecurity concerns in the region led to the relocation of junior and secondary schools to the school building inside Kuriga town a few years ago.

Eyewitnesses reported that most pupils fled their classrooms upon seeing the bandits on the school premises. The abducted victims were reportedly marched into the forest, according to residents.

As of now, there has been no official reaction from the state government or the police. Additionally, the figure of 232 students provided by the former senator has not been confirmed by the police.

The situation is critical, and the hope is for a swift and safe resolution to ensure the release of the kidnapped individuals.
