Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of its Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) as part of efforts to provide relief to Nigerians during the holiday season.
In a statement released on Thursday, Anthony Chiejina, the Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, revealed that the price adjustment is aimed at easing transportation costs for citizens during the festive period.
“The decision to lower the price is designed to make travel more affordable for Nigerians during the holiday season,” Chiejina stated.
Special Holiday Incentive for Customers
To further support consumers, the refinery introduced a unique holiday incentive. Customers purchasing fuel on a cash basis can acquire an additional litre on credit. This offer is secured through a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.

“From today, our petrol will be available at a reduced rate at our truck loading gantry and Single Point Mooring (SPM) facility,” Chiejina said. “Additionally, for every litre purchased on cash terms, customers can enjoy the opportunity to buy another litre on credit.”
Commitment to Quality and Sustainability
The refinery also reiterated its dedication to providing high-quality petroleum products that are both environmentally friendly and safe for engines. Chiejina highlighted that the refinery’s operations signal an end to Nigeria’s dependence on substandard imported products, which have posed risks to health, machinery, and the environment.
With a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day (BPD), Dangote Refinery is the largest single-train refinery in the world. It has the capacity to meet Nigeria’s refined petroleum needs entirely, with a surplus available for export.
As the festive season approaches, Dangote Petroleum Refinery expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support and reaffirmed its commitment to competitive pricing and premium quality products.
