In a keenly contested Kebbi gubernatorial election, Dr. Nasir Idris of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has emerged victorious, defeating General Aminu Bande of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) by a margin of 58,444 votes. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Dr. Nasir Idris NUT of APC as the winner of the election.
The election results were made up of the initial election results and the supplementary gubernatorial election results. The APC garnered a total of 406,739 votes, while the PDP had 348,295 votes in the initial election results. However, the supplementary election results showed that the APC won with 20,916 votes, while the PDP had 17,925 votes. This brought the total number of votes for the APC to 427,655, while the PDP had 366,740 votes.
