BREAKING: FUBK Releases Approved Adjusted 2024/2025 Academic Calendar for Undergraduate Students

The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK) has officially released the approved adjusted academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic session, outlining all key academic activities for undergraduate programmes.

The announcement, issued by the Academic Planning Unit and dated 24th April 2025, was signed by Abubakar M., the Acting Director of Academic Planning. The calendar spans from December 2024 through December 2025, culminating in the commencement of the 2025/2026 academic session.

Highlights of the 2024/2025 FUBK Academic Calendar:

• Registration of New Students:
  Begins on Monday, 30th December 2024, and ends on Saturday, 25th January 2025 – a 4-week period.
• Registration of Returning Students:
  Scheduled from Monday, 6th January to Saturday, 25th January 2025 – lasting 3 weeks.
• First Semester Lectures:
  First phase runs from Monday, 27th January to Saturday, 29th March 2025 (9 weeks),
  followed by a Mid-Semester Break from 31st March to 6th April 2025.
  Lectures resume from 7th April to 10th May 2025 (5 weeks).

• First Semester Examinations:
  To be held between 12th May and 31st May 2025 (3 weeks).
• Break & Result Processing:
  Two-week break and result approval from 2nd June to 15th June 2025.
• Second Semester Lectures:
  Start on Monday, 16th June 2025, and continue until Saturday, 9th August 2025 (8 weeks),
  followed by a Mid-Semester Break from 11th to 17th August 2025,
  then resumes from 18th August to 27th September 2025 (6 weeks).
• Second Semester Examinations:
  Slated for 29th September to 18th October 2025 (3 weeks).
• Result Submission & Senate Approval:
  Departments will submit results between 20th October and 1st November 2025 (2 weeks),
  with Faculty Boards reviewing from 3rd to 15th November 2025,
  and the Senate finalizing approvals from 17th to 22nd November 2025.
• End of Session Break:
  Will begin on Monday, 20th October and run through Sunday, 28th December 2025.
• Start of the 2025/2026 Academic Session:
  Officially begins on Monday, 29th December 2025.
