In addressing concerns about sponsoring students abroad, the commissioner noted a discrepancy where students were pursuing courses abroad that were readily available in Nigerian universities.
He recommended that resources should be allocated for sending students abroad only for courses that were not offered locally, emphasizing the importance of optimizing resources by ensuring strategic investments in areas where they are most needed.
