BREAKING: NiMet Predicts Heavy Rains, Thunderstorms in Kebbi, Borno, Sokoto, and Other States Across Nigeria

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted heavy rains and thunderstorms in several states across Nigeria, including Kebbi, Borno, Sokoto, Katsina, Kaduna, and others. According to NiMet’s weather outlook, the affected states can expect heavy rains and thunderstorms from Wednesday to Friday.

Residents in the affected states are advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe, as the heavy rains and thunderstorms may cause flash flooding, damage to buildings and infrastructure, and disrupt daily activities. NiMet urged residents to avoid flood-prone areas and take necessary measures to protect themselves and their properties.

In the Northern Region, thunderstorms are expected in Borno, Adamawa, Taraba, Yobe, Katsina, Sokoto, and Kaduna States on Wednesday. On Thursday, thunderstorms will spread to Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Kaduna, Bauchi, Jigawa, Katsina, Kebbi, and Zamfara States. By Friday, thunderstorms will continue in Adamawa, Taraba, Borno, Gombe, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, and Zamfara States.

In the North Central Region, thunderstorms are expected in the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Niger, Benue, Kogi, and Kwara States on Wednesday. On Thursday, rains will fall in Plateau and Benue States, while thunderstorms will affect the Federal Capital Territory, Nasarawa, Kogi, Niger, Kwara, and Benue States. By Friday, rains will fall in Nasarawa and Niger, with localized thunderstorms in Kogi, Federal Capital Territory, Kwara, and Niger States.

In the Southern Region, thunderstorms will affect Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Ondo, Lagos, Edo, Delta, Cross River, and Akwa Ibom States on Wednesday. On Thursday, intermittent rains will fall in Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Anambra, Edo, Ekiti, Oyo, Rivers, Cross River, Delta, and Akwa Ibom States. By Friday, cloudy skies will prevail in the morning, with thunderstorms in inland cities and intermittent rains in coastal cities.
