BREAKING: Police Service Commission Speaks on Cancellation of 2022 Recruitment List

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has swiftly responded to circulating rumors on social media regarding the cancellation of the final list of successful candidates for the 2022 Police Constable recruitment. In an official statement released on Tuesday, the Commission clarified that recent issues with its recruitment portal were due to routine maintenance and not a cancellation of results.

Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission’s Spokesman, emphasized that the PSC remains committed to upholding transparency and adherence to established guidelines in the recruitment process. He stated, “The Commission has not and will not cancel the final list of successful candidates from the recruitment exercise which was conducted in clear adherence to relevant guidelines and provisions of the law.”

The statement further reassured candidates and the public that the recruitment portal has been fully restored and is now accessible without disruptions. Ani denounced the misinformation circulating on social media, attributing it to “desperate groups” aiming to discredit the Commission’s efforts in ensuring a merit-based and inclusive recruitment process.

“The Commission is in control of the situation and has since restored the Recruitment portal with its original contents,” Ani affirmed. He urged successful candidates to disregard the misleading information and assured them of the portal’s security and functionality.

Furthermore, the PSC reiterated its commitment to principles of Federal character, gender sensitivity, and meritocracy in all its recruitment exercises. It warned against attempts to undermine the integrity of the process, promising to take decisive actions against any individual or group found guilty of such actions.
