President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of a new management team for the FGN Power Company Limited. The announcement, made by presidential spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, disclosed that the current executive officer, Kenny Osebi Anuwe, has been reappointed by the President.
The newly appointed members of the management team are as follows:
- Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Kenny Osebi Anuwe (reappointed)
- Company Secretary/Legal Advisor – Prof Mamman Lawal (reappointed)
- Chief Technical Officer (CTO) – Ebenezer Olawale Fapohunda
- Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) – Babatunde Daramola Oniru
- Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Julius Oyekola Olabiyi
The President expects that with the full constitution of the management team, the FGN Power Company Limited will diligently pursue the core objectives of the Presidential Power Initiative (PPI). This includes collaboration with Siemens Energy for a comprehensive overhaul, modernization, and expansion of the national grid, along with other critical measures to foster the growth of the Nigeria Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).
The statement concludes with the anticipation that the newly appointed team will work towards achieving energy security for all Nigerians and contribute to driving enterprise and industrial development.
