In a shocking incident that has left residents of Arepo in Ogun State reeling, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Hakeem Odumosu has been abducted. The kidnapping occurred near her residence in the Arepo area of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Southwest Nigeria.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident through its Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, who revealed that the victim was attacked as she was about to enter her home. Armed assailants intercepted her Lexus SUV, forcibly removed her from the vehicle, and led her through a swampy terrain to an undisclosed location.

In response to the abduction, a police team led by the Divisional Police Officer has commenced a search operation in the area. Local authorities, including the Baale of Warewa and Maaba, have also been mobilized to deploy community security forces to comb the riverine regions for any trace of the abductors or their victim.
