The Federal Government has officially extended the deadline for the ongoing paramilitary recruitment under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB). Initially set to close on Monday, August 4, 2025, the application window has now been pushed forward by a week. The new deadline is Monday, August 11, 2025.
This decision was announced by the CDCFIB Secretary, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) A. M. Jibril, who explained that the extension is meant to give more Nigerians a fair chance to complete their applications and join the recruitment process for positions in the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Correctional Service, and Federal Fire Service.
Interested applicants are to complete their application through the official recruitment portal at:

The board emphasized that the recruitment process is entirely free and that the application should be submitted only via the official platform to avoid falling victim to fraud or misinformation.
Additionally, candidates who had already registered before the recent system upgrade are required to revisit the update portal at:

These candidates must verify their data and complete their submission process to generate an application slip, which will display their original Application ID. It’s important to note that this update portal is strictly for applicants who previously submitted their information and not for new applicants.
Nigerians are advised to take advantage of this extended period and ensure they complete the application process before the new closing date of August 11, 2025.
