CDCFIB Releases New Screening Update for Shortlisted Candidates

There have been growing reports online claiming that the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has invited shortlisted candidates for physical screening and document verification. According to the circulating information, candidates were allegedly asked to choose their screening venue and date through the CDCFIB recruitment portal.

However, investigations show that this claim is false.

Fake CDCFIB Screening Circular Circulating Online

A viral circular shared widely on social media claims that CDCFIB is preparing to move to the next stage of its recruitment exercise, which includes physical screening and document verification.

The document states that candidates who allegedly “performed well” have been shortlisted and instructed to visit the recruitment portal between Monday, 2 February and Wednesday, 4 February 2026 to select their screening location and date. It also claims that the screening exercise would take place from Monday, 2 February to Friday, 6 February 2026 across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The circular further congratulates supposed successful applicants and mentions that the selection process followed the Federal Character principle and service requirements.

Findings Confirm the Circular Is Fake

Despite how convincing the document appears, findings confirm that the circular is not genuine. As of now, CDCFIB has not released any official notice regarding physical screening or document verification.

There has been no announcement from the CDCFIB recruitment team on its official portal or through verified government communication channels. This strongly indicates that the information being circulated online is misleading.

Official CDCFIB Updates Will Come Only From the Portal

CDCFIB has consistently maintained that all legitimate updates concerning its recruitment exercise will be published only through its official recruitment portal.

Applicants are strongly advised to ignore unofficial messages, social media posts, and unverified websites claiming to provide screening details or recruitment updates.

Important Advice to Applicants

Job seekers and applicants should remain cautious and avoid sharing personal information with unverified platforms. Falling for fake recruitment notices could expose applicants to scams, fraud, or identity theft.
