The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially shifted the opening date for its nationwide recruitment portal. Initially scheduled to begin on Thursday, June 26, 2025, the new date for portal activation is now Monday, July 14, 2025.
This change affects recruitment into four major paramilitary agencies: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS). The board has also updated the recruitment portal address, which is now: recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Secretary to the Board urged all prospective applicants to take note of the new date and updated portal address. The CDCFIB emphasized that all applications remain completely free of charge and warned against any attempt to make payments during the application process.
Applicants are encouraged to prepare ahead of time by gathering all required credentials and ensuring they meet the eligibility criteria for the specific agency and role they are applying for. Available roles range across Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Assistant cadres, depending on qualifications.

The board apologized for any inconvenience the rescheduling might have caused and reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and accessible recruitment process. Interested Nigerians are advised to apply only through the official portal once it opens on July 14.
To avoid disqualification, applicants must avoid multiple entries, ensure accuracy in personal information, and refrain from submitting fake credentials. Further updates and guidelines will be posted on the official website in the coming days.
