According to Inspector Muntari Mati, who is prosecuting the case, Musa poisoned Usman’s drinks—including Maltina, 5 Alive, and Swan Water—leading to her untimely death. Following the alleged crime, Musa reportedly fled the scene, leaving behind Usman’s deceased body. He was apprehended on July 2 at Sweet Hotel in Katsina State, where he attempted to conceal his identity using a false name and was found in possession of 18 ATM cards allegedly linked to fraudulent activities.
