Customs Strengthening Youth Capacity Through Mentorship
Mr. Hassan explained that the command has integrated corps members into different administrative and operational departments where they gain exposure to real-life public service procedures. He noted that this initiative serves as part of the Service’s broader vision of mentoring young Nigerians in professionalism, discipline, and ethical conduct.
He further emphasized that building the next generation of responsible leaders requires institutions like the Nigeria Customs Service to provide hands-on learning experiences, especially for youths undergoing the one-year national service.
NYSC Commends Customs’ Consistent Support
Responding to the visit, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Efeke Dadaza, appreciated the Kaduna Customs Command for its continued hospitality and supportive attitude toward corps members. She described the partnership as a shining example of how government agencies can collaborate to enhance youth empowerment and national unity.
Mrs. Dadaza appealed for more training opportunities and welfare prioritization for corps members, noting that such initiatives prepare them for life after service by equipping them with workplace ethics, discipline, and essential skills.
