
It has been reported that Gbolahan Oyedemi, a Deputy Commissioner of Police serving with the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Alagbon, Lagos State, tragically took his own life in his private residence in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Oyedemi had previously served as the Aide de Camp to the late former Governor of Oyo State, Adebayo Alao-Akala, during his brief tenure in 2006.

According to a source familiar with the situation, Oyedemi, who typically visited his hometown during Easter, instructed his aides to spend the holiday with their families. His body was discovered hanging in his house on Monday, prompting speculation about the circumstances leading to his suicide.
Efforts to obtain a statement from the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, have been unsuccessful as his phone was unreachable.
