EFCC Declares Ex-Power Minister Agunloye Wanted Over $6 Billion Scandal

In a significant development, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared former Minister of Power and Steel, Dr. Olu Agunloye, wanted in connection with an alleged case of corruption and forgery. The anti-graft agency’s move follows an earlier investigation into a $6 billion Build, Operate and Transfer contract, which prompted the interrogation of Agunloye in September.

Dr. Agunloye, a native of Akoko North Local Government Area in Ondo State, is now a subject of a nationwide search as the EFCC intensifies efforts to locate and apprehend him. The commission made this announcement via its official website, displaying Agunloye’s image alongside the declaration of his wanted status.
