Eight Killed, Four Injured in Terrorist Attack on Katsina Village

In a harrowing turn of events, a terrorist group launched a brutal assault on the Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, leaving a trail of devastation that includes the loss of eight lives, injuries to four individuals, and the abduction of two others. The heart-wrenching attack unfolded on Sunday night, as residents returning from Kukar Babangida village to Yan Gayya community were ambushed by terrorists armed with sophisticated weapons.

The victims, all from Yan Gayya village and aged between 22 and 47 years, were laid to rest on Monday morning following Islamic rites. The deceased have been identified as Malam Sani Na Gogara (47), Yusuf Dan Karaminsu (22), Yusuf Jari (50), Sale Lami (45), Dan Hameme (45), Malam Shafa’i (35), Malam Dikke (45), and Bishir Sani (30). Additionally, four individuals sustained injuries: Bilyaminu Yan Gayya, Malam Jafaru, Alhaji Lawal Dadi, and Dan Husama.
