Senator Lawan expressed that the empowerment program, conceived by his foundation, aimed to show appreciation for the unwavering support received from constituents over the years. He emphasized the importance of sustainable initiatives, stating, “It is better to teach a man how to fish than to give him that fish, and it is over.” The former Senate President also pledged to attract federal presence through projects to stimulate and boost business activity in the Yobe North Senatorial District.
