This decision comes after failing to secure a broadcast rights agreement with the Confederation of African Football (CAF), marking a significant departure as Multichoice has been the broadcaster for every AFCON edition since 1992.

The 2023 AFCON, initially scheduled for 2023 but postponed due to extreme weather conditions in Ivory Coast, is set to kick off from January 13 to February 11, 2024. With the absence of SuperSport, Nigerian fans are actively seeking alternative channels to catch the continent’s premier football competition.

Viaplay:
