What is the BEA Scholarship?
The BEA Scholarship is a prestigious program designed to provide Nigerians with opportunities to study abroad in various fields of study. The scholarship supports both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in partnering countries.

Eligibility Criteria
For Undergraduate Applicants:
- Minimum of 7 distinctions (A’s and B’s) in WASSCE/WAEC (May/June) in relevant subjects, including English and Mathematics.
- Certificates must be:
- Not older than two years (2023 and 2024) for non-African countries.
- One year old (2024) for African countries.
- Age limit: 17 to 20 years.
For Postgraduate Applicants:
- First-class or at least second-class upper division in your first degree.
- Completed NYSC program with a valid discharge or exemption certificate.
- Age limit:
- Master’s: 35 years
- PhD: 40 years
- Evidence of employer’s approval for release, if employed.
Application Process
- Visit the Official Website
- Go to www.education.gov.ng and click on the Federal Scholarship Board icon on the homepage.
- Complete the Application Form
- Fill out the form online following the guidelines provided.
- Print the Application Form
- Submit a printed copy of your completed form.
Additional Requirements
- Be prepared to take a one-year language course in your selected country if it’s non-English speaking.
- Applicants for Hungary must apply through Stipendium Hungaricum.
- For Russian studies, visit education-in-russia.com to complete your application and upload all required documents in PDF format.
