Federal Universities in Manchok, Birnin Kebbi Will Boost Education – Senate President Akpabio

President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio has highlighted the transformative impact of establishing three new federal universities across Nigeria. These institutions include the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Manchok, Kaduna State; the Federal University in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State and the Federal University of Technology in Ilaro, Ogun State.

Akpabio, represented by Senator Gbenga Daniel, emphasized the crucial role of education in addressing social challenges during a public hearing organized by the Senate Committee on Tertiary Education and TETFUND. The hearing focused on various bills, including the establishment of these universities, reflecting the National Assembly’s commitment to enhancing educational opportunities nationwide.

The proposed universities aim to bridge educational gaps, improve access to higher education, and contribute to regional development. Senator Sunday Marshall Katung advocated for the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Manchok, highlighting its potential to stimulate the local economy and provide specialized training.
