Ahmed apologized for the board’s inability to complete the process by June 15, 2024, as initially planned. He explained that the delay was due to a “nationwide manpower audit exercise carried out in the Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, which was just recently concluded.”

“All shortlisted candidates will be duly notified of the next stage of the recruitment exercise through the phone numbers and email addresses they provided,” said Ahmed, who is the immediate past Comptroller General of Corrections.
