FG Begins ₦25,000 Cash Transfer Under Renewed Hope CCT Programme

The Federal Government has officially commenced the disbursement of ₦25,000 Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) under the Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (RRR) programme — a major step toward easing the economic burden on vulnerable households across Nigeria.

This initiative is part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to supporting low-income families affected by inflation and the rising cost of living.

What the ₦25,000 Cash Transfer Is About

The Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT-RRR) is a social intervention programme designed to provide direct financial support to poor and vulnerable households. The goal is simple — to ensure that struggling Nigerians can meet their basic daily needs amid ongoing economic reforms.

Under this phase, beneficiaries will receive ₦25,000 per month to help cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal and rising food prices.

Who Is Eligible for the ₦25,000 Payment

The payment targets low-income households already captured in the National Social Register (NSR) and verified by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

Eligible beneficiaries include:

  • Families living below the poverty line
  • Vulnerable groups such as widows, the elderly, and persons with disabilities
  • Rural and urban poor communities across all 36 states and the FCT

If you’re unsure of your eligibility, you can confirm through your local community development officer or designated CCT state office.

How the Payment Is Made

Payments are being processed directly to beneficiaries through verified bank accounts and mobile money wallets to ensure transparency and reduce corruption.

The Federal Government has assured Nigerians that all verified beneficiaries will receive their ₦25,000 monthly support as part of efforts to restore confidence in the nation’s social investment programmes.

What Beneficiaries Can Expect

Each household will receive ₦25,000 every month for a limited period, depending on the federal budget and programme phase. According to officials, the cash transfer is not just a handout but a way to promote financial inclusion and support local economic activity.

Government’s Message to Nigerians

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs emphasized that the RRR CCT programme represents the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focused on poverty reduction, women empowerment, and social stability.

In a recent statement, the ministry reiterated its goal to ensure that “no Nigerian is left behind” in the government’s drive toward inclusive economic recovery.
