This is a tragic incident. The Labour Party has reported that their national chairman, Julius Abure, experienced a fire at his house in Abuja during the early hours of the day. The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, stated that they suspect it was an assassination attempt on Abure.
According to the statement by Ifoh, the fire broke out around 1 am while Abure and his family were sleeping. They were alerted to the danger by neighbors and security personnel living in the compound. The situation became dire as the fire spread to the staircase, blocking their escape route.

Thankfully, through the heroic efforts of neighbors and security personnel, they were able to create an opening by pulling down a window upstairs, allowing Abure and his family to escape. It’s indeed a fortunate outcome amid such a harrowing experience.
