
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has announced the physical screening date for candidates shortlisted in its 2025 recruitment exercise. The physical documentation and screening will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the FIRS Training School, located at 2B Lateef Jakande Road, beside LTV 8, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.
Shortlisted applicants are expected to arrive at the venue by 11:00 a.m. with all required documents. This stage marks a significant step in the recruitment process, following the aptitude test conducted on February 12, 2025, by TIGH Technologies Limited.
Documents Required:
Candidates must present both original copies and three photocopies of the following:
- Valid means of identification (National ID, International Passport, or Driver’s License)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- First School Leaving Certificate
- WAEC/NECO certificates
- Degree certificate(s)
- NYSC certificate or exemption letter
- Professional qualifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA, CITN)
- Birth certificate from the National Population Commission
- Certificate of origin from Local Government
- Medical fitness certificate from a government hospital (dated not earlier than April 30, 2025)
- Evidence of registration with Pension and National Housing Fund
- Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
- Four recent passport photographs
FIRS emphasized that attendance is mandatory and all documents must be complete and up to date to avoid disqualification. The exercise is aimed at validating candidate details and preparing for the final selection of successful applicants.
The recruitment drive, which began in November 2024, is focused on filling critical positions such as Tax Officer I and Tax Officer II. These roles are vital to enhancing the efficiency and reach of the service.
