The Federal University Birnin Kebbi (FUBK), has released its academic calendar for the 2022/2023 session for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The academic calendar is a guide for students, staff and faculty members on the schedule of academic activities for the session.
The academic calendar for undergraduate programmes shows that the session will commence with the registration of new and returning students from Monday 3rd April to Saturday 22nd April 2023. The first semester lectures will start on Monday 24th April and run for nine weeks with a mid-semester break after three weeks.

The first semester lectures will continue for another three weeks after the mid-semester break. The first semester examinations will run for three weeks from Monday 24th July to Saturday 12th August 2023. There will be a two-week break for the submission of exam results before the commencement of the second semester lectures on Monday 28th August 2023. The second semester will run for nine weeks with a mid-semester break after three weeks.
The second semester lectures will continue for another three weeks after the mid-semester break, followed by the second semester examinations, which will run for three weeks from Monday 27th November to Saturday 16th December 2023.
The submission of examination results to departments will run for one week from Monday 18th December to Saturday 30th December 2023, while the consideration and approval of results by faculty boards and Senate will run for two weeks and one week, respectively. The session will end with a five-week break from Monday 18th December to Sunday 21st January 2024, and the 2023/2024 academic session will begin on Monday, 22nd January, 2024.
The academic calendar for postgraduate programmes shows that the session will commence with the registration of new students from Monday 17th April to Saturday 29th April 2023. The first semester lectures will start on Monday 1st May and run for 13 weeks, followed by the first semester examinations, which will run for two weeks from Monday 31st July to Saturday 12th August 2023.
There will be a one-week break for the submission of exam results before the commencement of the second semester lectures on Monday 21st August 2023. The second semester will run for 12 weeks, followed by the second semester examinations, which will run for two weeks from Monday 13th November to Saturday 25th November 2023.

The submission of examination results by departments will run for one week from Monday 27th November to Saturday 2nd December 2023, while the consideration and approval of results by postgraduate boards and Senate will run for one week each. The session will end with a five-week break from Monday 27th November to Sunday 31st December 2023, and the 2023/2024 academic session will begin on Tuesday, 2nd January, 2024.
