
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has warned that 20 Nigerian states are at risk of flooding this July due to increasing rainfall across the country.
In an alert issued Monday in Abuja, NiMet urged residents in affected areas to take urgent precautions as heavy downpours could lead to destructive floods in many communities.

- Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters
- Help raise community awareness
The agency stressed the need for early preparedness to avoid damage to lives and property.
