Google has released the Android 13 QPR3 Beta 2 for all its Pixel phones from the Pixel 4a up to the Pixel 7 Pro. This latest software release comes just two weeks after the release of Beta 1, and it contains mostly bug fixes and one new feature tweak. It is expected to be rolled out as the June Pixel Feature Drop.
The new feature tweak improves Adaptive Charging, which can automatically adjust to your charging needs using on-device signals. Additionally, this build fixes several bugs, such as the volume panel flickering when adjusting the volume using the volume buttons and the system UI getting stuck in a blurry state in some cases.
Another issue that has been resolved is where the notification shade would close immediately after a user opened it. The always-on display also no longer appears over apps and other content after unlocking the device. Moreover, this build fixes an issue where a device could not copy apps and data wirelessly during first-time setup.
If you are already enrolled in the beta program, you should receive your update soon. However, for those who are feeling impatient, Google has image files and OTAs ready for a manual install.
As we approach April, it is essential to be wary of phony tech announcements that may try to deceive people. Google’s release of Android 13 QPR3 Beta 2 ahead of the April frenzy is a welcome development that ensures Pixel phone users enjoy a smoother and more stable software experience.
