Gov. Idris Condoles Mera Community, Donates N50 Million to Families of Attack Victims

Kebbi State Forms 16-Member Committee to Tackle Upcoming Flooding

Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has extended his condolences to the residents of Mera in Augie Local Government Area following a tragic attack by unidentified gunmen. The governor also announced a donation of N50 million to support the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.

Represented by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Hon. Isah Abubakar-Tunga, Governor Idris described the attack as a deeply unfortunate event. He conveyed the state government’s commitment to standing by the affected community during this challenging time.

“On behalf of the Kebbi State Government, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Emir of Argungu, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sama’ila Muhammadu-Mera, and the entire Mera community. We pray for the peaceful repose of the departed souls and urge their families to find solace in God’s will,” said the governor’s representative.

The governor called on the people to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies by providing credible intelligence. He reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to tackling crime and ensuring the safety of all residents.

Governor Idris emphasized the importance of prayers and unity in overcoming challenges, urging the community to remain hopeful as security efforts intensify across the state.
