Zakkat Management:
The visit coincided with the World Zakkat Forum, a platform that brings together experts to discuss the collection, management, and distribution of Zakkat globally. Governor Idris aims to enhance Zakkat administration in Kebbi to better support vulnerable populations. Contrary to rumors, the trip was not about collecting Zakkat from Indonesia but to learn best practices in its management.

Livestock Development:
Indonesia’s expertise in artificial insemination and embryo transfer was a focal point of the trip. Earlier this year, two Veterinary Doctors from Kebbi underwent a month-long training in Indonesia on artificial insemination, a technique expected to boost cattle reproduction and milk production in the state. Plans are underway for further training on embryo transfer.

The governor also explored Indonesia’s success in addressing the Almajiri challenge. The delegation visited schools where students, including abandoned children, are provided with education and vocational training.
