
Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has handed over 24 locally manufactured Roxettes Utility Pick-Up vans to members of the Abia State House of Assembly to support their legislative duties.
During the presentation, Governor Otti gave the vehicle keys to Speaker Emmanuel Emeruwa, emphasizing that the donation was a fulfillment of his promise to provide lawmakers with operational vehicles.
He highlighted that the vehicles were produced within Abia State as part of his administration’s commitment to promoting local industries. He also revealed that the manufacturer, an indigene of Umunneochi LGA, is nearing completion of a factory in Obuaku, Ukwa West LGA, with road construction to the site almost finished.
Governor Otti reaffirmed his dedication to boosting the quality of locally made products, encouraging patronage of indigenous manufacturers. He assured that the government is making efforts to build confidence in locally produced goods.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of his colleagues, Deputy Speaker Augustine Meregini appreciated the governor’s support, noting that this is the second batch of vehicles provided to the legislators.
