Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has donated N250 million to the victims of a recent fire outbreak at the Singer and Kurmi markets in the state. The donation was aimed at providing immediate assistance to the affected traders who lost their valuables in the inferno.

The announcement of the donation was made by the state Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Muhammad Garba, in a statement released to the media. The leadership of the traders’ associations in the market will be formally presented with the cheques by the governor at the Government House in Kano.

Expressing his sympathy to the victims of the inferno, Governor Ganduje called on individuals and organizations to support the traders in any way possible. He emphasized the importance of rallying together as a community to support those in need during difficult times.

In response to the donation, one of the affected traders, Adamu Abdullahi, expressed his gratitude to the governor and the state government for their support. He stated that the donation was greatly appreciated and that the affected traders were hopeful that the committee set up to assess the situation would recommend more support for them.

The fire outbreak, which occurred on Monday, March 13th, 2023, resulted in the loss of goods worth millions of naira. The incident left many traders devastated and unsure of how they would recover from the loss.

Governor Ganduje’s donation is a welcome relief to the affected traders, who have been struggling to come to terms with the loss of their businesses and livelihoods. The donation is also a testament to the state government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens.

The governor’s call for individuals and organizations to support the traders is an important reminder that we all have a role to play in supporting our communities during times of crisis. Whether through financial contributions or other forms of support, it is essential that we come together to help those in need.

Finally, Governor Ganduje’s donation to the victims of the market fire in Kano is a commendable gesture that should be emulated by other leaders. It is a reminder that our leaders have a responsibility to support their citizens in times of crisis and that we all have a role to play in building strong and resilient communities.
