Birnin Kebbi, 18th June 2023 – In a heartfelt display of compassion and support, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), the esteemed wife of the State Governor, has graciously donated food items and clothing materials to the Ambursa and Bayan Oando Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps. The beneficiaries of these noble gestures have expressed their deep gratitude for Her Excellency’s unwavering commitment to alleviating their hardship.

The distribution of essential provisions to the IDP camps signifies Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris’ dedication to fostering a sense of belonging among the displaced individuals. Her Excellency assured the IDPs that more assistance would be forthcoming, as she remains determined to create an environment where they can truly feel at home.

Conveying her sincere wishes for the efficient utilization of the donated items, Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris also called upon the IDPs to offer fervent prayers for the progress and prosperity of the state and the nation.

During the event, Alhaji Dahiru Nayaya, the Sole Administrator of Ambursa, commended the governor’s wife for her benevolence, while offering prayers for her successful tenure. Nayaya further lauded Governor Dr. NASIR IDRIS as a leader who consistently prioritizes the well-being of the masses.

Additionally, Alhaji Isah Haruna Rasheed, the District Head of Ambursa, expressed gratitude towards the generous donor and urged others to emulate her noble actions. He highlighted some urgent needs of the IDP camp, including a generator and a clinic, and also advocated for the revitalization of Ambursa’s main market and motor park.

Responding promptly to the request, Hajiya Tsahara Bawa, the Director-General of the Campaign Women’s Wing, publicly announced the immediate donation of a generator set for the IDP camp.

One of the beneficiaries, named Nafisa, joyfully conveyed her appreciation and revealed that they had been aware of Hajiya Nafisa Nasir Idris’ support, but this was their first opportunity to personally express their gratitude.
