The Federal Government has announced the commencement of the next stage of recruitment into the services under the Ministry of Interior. This includes the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS). The recruitment exercise is set to begin in August and will conclude before the end of September 2024.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board made this announcement in a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday, July 14. Ja’afaru Ahmed, Secretary of the Board and the immediate past Comptroller General of Corrections, signed the statement. He apologized for the delay in the recruitment process, originally planned to be completed by June 15, 2024, attributing it to a nationwide manpower audit exercise.
