Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, has awarded scholarships and bursaries to 3,881 students from Ogun West Senatorial District, in a bold move to support education and empower young Nigerians.

According to a statement released by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS), each beneficiary received either a ₦200,000 scholarship or a ₦100,000 bursary. The student bodies praised Senator Adeola for his continued commitment to reducing the financial burden on students and supporting the academic dreams of young Nigerians.

“The scheme will help indigent students focus on their studies while bringing relief to their parents,” the statement read.

Apart from scholarships and bursaries, Senator Adeola has also sponsored the construction of modern classrooms, ICT centers, and libraries across public schools in the Ogun West region, further showing his dedication to youth development.

How to Apply for Senator Adeola’s Scholarship and Bursary

Although the recent disbursement covered students already selected from Ogun West, here’s a general guide on how you can apply when the next batch is announced:

  • Must be an indigene of Ogun West Senatorial District (Yewa South, Yewa North, Ipokia, Ado-Odo/Ota, and Imeko-Afon Local Governments)
